Pacioli in English

The Technical Commercial Institute, per Geomtri and Corrispondents in Foreign Languages "Luca Pacioli" of Crema, founding in 1978, in a State Institute frequented, in this scholastic year, by about 1400 students between the ages of 14 and 19 years old.

The school is divided between two locations: via Delle Grazie in the historic center of Crema and via Dogali, in front of the Courthouse.

 

 

Lesson Schedule

Lessons take place from Monday to Friday from 8:20 to 12:55 and then from 14:00 to 17:20. There is no school on Saturday. The weekly schedule accommodates activities for academic recovery, further learning, and academic support.

Administrative Hours

For parents: the segreteria is open everyday except Sunday from 8:00 to 17:00. On Saturdays it is open from 8:0 to 13:00.

For students: Everyday from 8:00 to 8:20, from 10:00 to 11:15 and from 13:00 to 14:00

The courses offered include those of surveying, administrative accounting, programming accounting, expert business correspondence in foreign languages, programming accounting (sportive), surveying focusing on building territory with a specialization in computerized projection and relief with GPS satellite techniques, and business expert with an experimental specialized focus in Chinese culture and language.

The degrees offered at Pacioli are: Ragionere e Perito commerciale, ragionere Perito comerciale e Programmatore, Perito Aziendale e Corrispondente in Lingue Estere, and Geometra.

Correspondent in Foreign Languages (Chinese language and cultural specialization)

Today an understanding of the languages of emerging countries is a credit card for those who intend to insert themselves into the workplace. And for this, Pacioli has begun, from the first year, a section of specialization in Chinese language and culture.

What subjects are most important to this specialty?

-The same as those for Correspondents in Foreign Languages and furthermore

-Chinese language and culture

What makes this course different from the traditional course?

-Chinese language is studies as a fourth language for 5 years, in addition to the 3 languages of the ERICA course. The course requires 60 hours of instruction annually in modules of two hours each, on different days of the week in place of other subjects. In this way the reduction of hours for the other subjects is minimized and the number of total lesson hours of the course does not increase.

-Some hours with a mother tongue teacher of Chinese are foreseen

What skills and knowledge are offered?

-The same skills as the Correspondents in Foreign Languages and furthermore

-An understanding of Chinese at an intermediate level, with a knowledge of about 1000 characters

-At the end of the course the student will be able to participate in a simple daily conversation, to read and translate some texts. Also, in the third year, contemporary novels will be introduced.

-At the end of every year of the course, the student will receive certification of acquired knowledge, which will be usable on the job market.

-At the end of 5 years of study, the student will be able to take the appropriate exam that will certify them as "Specialization in Chinese language and Cultural"
